Day two of the S.P.A.R.K.S Conditioning Equipment Free Online Fitness Challenge!
How are you doing thus far? Sticking to your commitment to yourself right? Great.
For all of you that wrote in, you recieved an email with some instructions. Know that those exercises are just as important as the physical ones.
Today, you will be guided through a 16 minute yoga for beginners strength building workout by Rodney Yee (click here). This is a great workout and because of the poses and the short time, it can be done in the morning before the day gets under way.
If you cannot get it done in the morning - don't stress! You've got a whole day to do it, so whenever you do simply get it done. That's the beauty of flexibility.
A note on getting it done - yoga, like working out, isn't just about "getting it done" but instead honoring the journey. Sure you need to complete your daily exercises and workouts but if you are only working to complete the work for completing the work's sake, you miss out on the magic moments that come from enjoying the journey. And you miss the chance to maximize your results by being in tune with your mind, body and spirit as you work towards your goal while unleashing your inner strength and best self.
After the yoga workout, complete 4 abdominal planks holding each for a maximum of one minute. Rest for one minute between each set.
